Bush Mistake

On September 11th , 2001 four planes were hijack by terrorist. One plane crash into the pentagon of Washington D.C., the second plane crash in Pennsylvania, The third plane crash into the first tower of the twin tower and after minutes pass the forth plane crash into the second tower of the world trade center. Bush use the word crusade for the ware because he said it was going to take a while for everything to go normal and because the people were suffering a lot.
Bush was wrong on using the word crusade to describe the war because the crusade were Christian versus Palestine and the Iraq war is based America v.s. South Arabic people. The group of people in the original crusade were catholic church attempting to capture the holy land of Palestine from muslim. So bush made the mistake of calling a war on terror a war about religion and freedom and that’s where he made his mistake.

Gladiator Fights

Gladiator fights were used so to killed people. They would be ripped apart and eaten alive by lion and other animals. The people that use to get killed were criminals and it came to a point in which Christian were use to get killed too. The fight works by the person that is going to fight start fighting with the animal and the audience put a thumbs up if the person that was fighting should live, or a thumbs down if the person that was fighting should die. In the U.S today our distraction need to do basically with violence.
They are very similar to the distractions in Ancient Rome because we see programs that have to do with ultimate fighting (UFC) and people eating nasty things. An if you look forward you are going to see that Americans today ain’t different from romans because we see shows that has to do with violence and people getting hurt which was the same thing during the Roman time.

Hellenistic Culture and How Did it Start?

Hellenistic Culture is the combination of all the conquered cultures form into a united
Culture. The Hellenistic culture start when Phillip the second conquers Ancient Greece.
After he conquers Ancient Greece he was killed by his body guard. After Phillip the second died his son Alexander the great takes over. Alexander the great start conquering new land until he owned Persia, Egypt, and all the land to India. And that’s how the Hellenistic culture starts because he starts uniting people from the country he conquers in order to create a very strong army. In the next blog I’m going to talk how he uses techniques in the war in order to win.

Athens V.S. Sparta

Athens and Sparta during the golden age in Greece were very powerful during these times. Athens created what is now known as a democracy, a government for the people ran by the people. Athens was glorifying its self with art and education was a first in Athens. Unlike Athens Sparta was military first and education last. Sparta’s government was run by there military. Athens is about finance and style and how well your education is. Sparta was about toughness about hard work.
